Stand or pay ??

One of the most economical flights in Germany Ryanair has launched an online poll to ask if passengers would stand on short flights if it meant they could travel for free, or pay 50% less than seated passengers.

The poll asked passengers: If it meant paying half fare tha seated passenger would they stand on a one hour flight? If they are interested to stand if that meant their fare was free on a one hour flight? And do you think passengers should have a choice of standing on short flights as they currently do on trains, buses and underground transport? Most of us travelling in government or local transports must have had this experience even though we pay the same fare as those who get a seat.

This online poll will gauge passenger demand for free flights on a proposal of vertical seating cabin.

By removing existing seats and introducing vertical seating, the Ryanair says it could potentially increase passenger capacity by 50%, with profits increasing by 20%, through the collection of baggage charges and other ancillary revenues.

As per me, I would pay for even a flight as short as 45 minutes as I am air sick ...lol.. But won't that be fun if you can reach your destination at half the price and all you need to do is STAND.
